When? March 13th 2025, 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM
Where? Hilton Charlotte Uptown
What? The World Affairs Council of Charlotte is honored to host Dr. Nina Ansary— award-winning Iranian-American author, historian, and women’s rights advocate—for two exclusive events on March 13, 2025, exploring the evolution of women’s progress through history.
As we celebrate International Women’s Day tomorrow and Women’s History Month throughout March, we recognize the often overlooked yet profound impact of women on societies, economies, and political landscapes. From ancient rulers to modern changemakers, their courage, resilience, and leadership have shattered barriers and redefined power.
Join us for a lunchtime discussion, where Dr. Ansary will examine the systemic challenges women have faced throughout history and the strategies driving continued progress today. In the evening, an intimate private dinner will provide a unique opportunity for deeper conversation, allowing guests to engage directly with Dr. Ansary on the evolution of women’s influence across cultures and generations.
Both events will explore the historical forces that have shaped women’s roles, the challenges that remain, and the leaders who have paved the way for change.
