What? Julie Jaksic and Julia Barno, Family Jewels Comedy, are constantly approached by audience members after shows asking if they can teach them how to write and perform comedy. This class was born to answer that call!

They’ll be (over)sharing everything they’ve learned: the good, the bad, and the awkward.

In this class, you’ll learn the basic mechanics of joke writing, including identifying topics you can write about, why the punchline goes at the end, and how to use the rule of three. We will also break down our jokes by performing them, then dissecting them. You might even have a chance to write your own joke and perform (not required, but encouraged)!

Don’t worry - we’ll have plenty of drinks and eats on hand to give you the courage you need. We’ve got you!
